The Mid-Pacific Institute Alumni Association (MPIAA) Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament took place on June 30 at the Hawai‘i Prince Golf Course in ‘Ewa Beach. The weather couldn’t have been better, setting the stage for an enjoyable day for the 219 eager golfers in attendance. With bento lunches in hand, players commenced the shotgun start promptly at 11:30 a.m., heading to their designated holes.
A notable presence of alumni was felt, with 118 former students participating as golfers and 26 all-alumni teams in the mix. Following 18 holes of spirited play under the sun, both golfers and volunteers convened in the clubhouse for a dinner reception. Here, accomplished teams and fortunate individuals were honored with an array of impressive prizes.
This event’s success was made possible through the generosity of our corporate and individual sponsors, donors, in-kind contributors, food and beverage providers, committed volunteers, the Mid-Pacific Golf Team, and the diligent members of this year’s golf committee. Thanks to their collective efforts, the alumni association was able to raise over $34,000 for scholarships benefiting alumni.
